There’s one guest room on the main floor towards the back of the house, which is accessible and can accommodate up to five guests (and your dog!). - One of our favorite things to do in Exeter is to take walks along the scenic Swasey Parkway. It’s from here that you’ll find some of the most iconic views of downtown Exeter over the Squamscott River. The Exeter River Trail is another excellent choice.
- For a change of pace, we also recommend taking walks on the scenic Philips Exeter campus – they maintain an extensive network of trails available for public use.
- History buffs won’t want to miss the famed American Independence Museum, home to an original copy of the Declaration of Independence and numerous artifacts from the American Revolution.
- The American Independence Museum is just one of the great things for history lovers in town. There are plenty of other landmark buildings, including the Exeter Town Hall and the historic Bandstand shell across the street, and the Gilman Garrison House on Water Street.
- Doing a little shopping is another of our favorite things to do in Exeter, and there are plenty of great shops. Some popular shops include Whirlygigs Toy Shop, Water Street Bookstore, The Colophon Book Shop, and The Chocolatier.
